Position Overview
Meadowlark Lodge is seeking an energetic, friendly, and hospitality-driven F&B Cashier / Food Runner to join our food and beverage team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with guests, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support smooth restaurant operations.
The F&B Cashier / Food Runner will be primarily responsible for taking guest orders, processing payments, and providing a welcoming experience at the point of sale. In addition to cashier duties, team members will assist with food running, bussing and resetting tables, maintaining dining areas, and supporting the overall flow of service.
This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude during high-volume service periods, weddings, and resort events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and provide friendly, efficient service
- Take food and beverage orders and accurately enter orders into the POS system
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings and answer basic guest questions
- Run food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately
- Bus, clean, and reset tables throughout service
- Monitor the dining area and proactively assist guests as needed
- Stock utensils, napkins, condiments, beverages, and service stations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cashier, dining, and service areas
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and FOH team members to ensure smooth service
- Support banquet, wedding, and special event operations
- Perform assigned opening and closing duties
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and resort service standards
- Assist with additional F&B responsibilities during high-volume periods as needed

- Previous restaurant, cashier, food service, or hospitality experience preferred but not required

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when taking orders and processing payments

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to carry food, dishes, trays, and restaurant supplies safely
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move throughout the restaurant during service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment during peak service hours
