Position Title: Lift Operator
Department: Mountain Operations
Location: Ten Sleep, WY
Classification: Winter Seasonal, Full time, Part Time
Pay: $18/hour
Position Overview
As a Lift Operator, you play an essential role in creating exceptional guest experiences by providing safe, efficient, and friendly lift operations. You will welcome guests, assist them with loading and unloading lifts, and help ensure a smooth and enjoyable mountain experience. Through your commitment to safety, attentive service, and positive attitude, you help create a welcoming environment where guests can confidently enjoy their time on the mountain in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate all lift types in accordance with training and safety protocols
- Assist passengers in the safe loading and unloading of chairlifts and surface lifts
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and post-operation shutdown procedures
- Monitor lift operations for unusual conditions or hazards and report immediately to the supervisor
- Maintain load and unload ramps and surrounding areas, including shoveling, signage, fencing, and general upkeep
- Assist with lift area cleanliness and equipment organization
- Communicate effectively with other operators, lift maintenance, patrol, and supervisors
- Follow all departmental and company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned to support mountain operations

- Prior experience in guest service or outdoor recreation preferred
- Intermediate to advanced skiing or snowboarding preferred
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Availability for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as required by resort operations
- Valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license, clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow and wind
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including shoveling and lifting up to 50 lbs
